Man Killed in Rankin County Tractor Accident

An man was killed in a tractor accident in Rankin County, Mississippi Tuesday.

Elmer Ray Willoughby, 81, of Brandon, climbed off his tractor to open a gate at his Rankin County home when the tractor rolled over him, said Sheriff Ronnie Pennington.

While the tractor’s engine was shut off, apparently the brake wasn’t set which caused the tractor to roll forward, over Willoughby.

Willoughby was killed in the accident.
