Man Killed in Recycling Plant Accident
A man was killed in an industrial accident at an Elkhart lumber recycling plant in Indiana Wednesday morning.
The 40-year-old man was struck by a front-end loader at the plant and was pronounced dead before emergency responders arrived Wednesday morning. It is unknown if he was an employee of VIM Recycling, Inc. His name has not been released.
A worker was killed in a 2007 fire at the plant, and another suffered serious injuries. The company was fined $10,000 for violating safety regulations in result.
