Man Killed in School Bus-Truck Collision

The driver of a pickup truck was killed in a collision with a Roane County school bus on Highway 61 in Tennessee.

Kenneth Collins, age 66 and of Oliver Springs, was driving his Nissan Frontier pickup truck on Highway 61 when he crossed the center line and collided head-on with an oncoming Roane County school bus. The accident occurred outside of Oliver Springs in front of Kellytown Baptist Church.
The driver of the pickup, whose identity has not been released, was killed in the collision.

The driver of the bus, a bus attendee, and two students traveling on the bus were all transported to a hospital with minor injuries. They were treated and released.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
