Man Killed, Two Injured, in Car-Truck Collision

A man was killed in a two-vehicle roll-over accident in at the intersection of US-24 Highway and Legion Lane in Pottawatomie County, Kansas Wednesday night.

A Kia Sorreto, driven by Michael Ippert, 24, was traveling westbound on US-24 when a GMC truck, driven by Stefan Yates, 35, of Olsburg, traveling westbound on Legion Lane failed to yield, causing the Kia to run into the trucks passenger side, said the Kansas Highway Patrol. The truck flipped on impact.

A passenger in the Kia, Dustin Alan Hodges, 25, was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

Another passenger in the Kia, Joshua Johsnson, 19, of Wamgeo, and Ippert, suffered injuries and were transported to an area hospital. No one involved were wearing seatbelts.

Yates did not suffer any injuries.
