Man Killed, Woman Injured in Motorcycle Accident

A Brunswick man was killed and a woman was injured in a motorcycle accident in Augusta, Maine Sunday afternoon.

The 42-year-old man was riding a motorcycle when the vehicle was struck by a truck as he attempted to pass it on the Route 3.

The man, whose name has not been released, was killed in the accident.

A 22-year-old female passenger on the motorcycle was transported to Central Maine Medical Center with critical injuries.

Route 3 was closed for around four hours Sunday afternoon.

The occupants of the truck did not suffer injuries.
