Man Loses 4 Fingertips in Saw Accident

A man was injured Wednesday when four of his fingertips were cut off while working in New Jersey.

A 26-year-old employee was working in a North Bergen business complex and while using a table saw to cut through some wood he ended up cutting off four fingertips.

Police reported that the wood had fallen back, but the heaviness of his hand caused the saw to move forward and cut through his fingers.  

The man was immediately taken to Meadowlands Hospital by a coworker, where the police were then notified.
