Man Lost Arm In Industrial Accident
A man lost his arm after an industrial accident at Asphalt Materials Inc. in West Jordan Thursday morning.
The 23-year-old man was working on a machine that recycles asphalt and cement when his arm became trapped in a conveyor belt system at around 10 a.m. Thursday at the business on 7961 South 1300 West.
The man, who was discovered by a co-worker, had his arm amputated above the elbow but was able to turn off the machine. The man, along with the recovered arm, was airlifted to Intermountain Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition.
