Man Seriously Injured in Head-On Collision

A man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle head-on collision in Clearfield over the weekend.

According to state police, Jonathon Lupton, of Frenchville, was driving southbound on state Route 1011 when he fell asleep behind the wheel and veered into the northbound lane, colliding with a northbound vehicle driven by Jason Blocker, of Schnecksville.

Lupton had to be extracted from his vehicle by the Karthaus Fire Department and then transported to a hospital with major injuries.

Blocker was not injured.
