Man Seriously Injured in Hit-And-Run Accident

A man suffered serious injuries when he was the victim of a hit-and-run accident Tuesday night in Northville Township, Michigan.

A 63-year-old man from Novi was traveling northbound on Haggerty and passed through the intersection of Haggerty and Five mile at a green light when the side of his vehicle was struck by another vehicle. The Novi man’s vehicle overturned three times, ejecting the man from the vehicle.

The vehicle that caused the collision fled the scene and drove eastbound on Five Mile.

The Novi man was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Ann Arbor suffering from serious injuries.

The vehicle that fled the scene is a newer model, black pickup truck, and may be a Dodge Dakota. There is damage to the area around the left front headlight. The driver is described as a white male with dark hair, and may be in his 20s.
