Man Seriously Injured in Tractor Accident at Farm

A man suffered injuries in a farming accident involving a tractor on County Road 7 in Coshocton County Monday evening.

Jerry Sturtz, 58, was working in a field about 500 feet from the road when his tractor rolled forward, knocking Sturtz to the ground and running over his mid-section. Sturtz was able to call for assistance around 8 p.m. Monday.

Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and Sturtz was transported to Coshocton Hospital and then transferred to Akron City Hospital, where he is listed in serious condition.
