Monroe County Workers Injured in Crash
Several Monroe County workers suffered injuries in an early morning two-vehicle accident in Irondequoit.
The workers were in the process of painting lines on Pattonwood Drive in Irondequoit when the pickup truck they were traveling in was rear-ended by a eastbound vehicle around 2:25 a.m.
Several workers, at least one which sustained serious injuries, were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Pattonwood Drive was closed for several hours and reopened at around 6:45 a.m.
According to Capt. Marty Corbett of the Irondequoit Police Department, the vehicle was speeding when the accident occurred. The accident is under investigation.
