Motorcyclist Killed in Collision With Broken Down Car
A motorcyclist was killed in an accident on Fort Washington Way.
A car having mechanical issues was stopped in a center lane of Fort Washington Way at about 1:30 p.m. when the motorcyclist, Gary Reed, 58, of Alexandria, Kentucky, rode into the back of the stopped vehicle.
Reed, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the stopped vehicle, Nicholas Boschert, was not inside the vehicle during the collision and suffered no injuries.
The downtown thoroughfare was shut down for three hours while police investigated. The Cincinnati Police Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate the accident.
