Motorcyclist Killed in Hit-And-Run Accident

A female motorcyclist suffered critical injuries in a hit-and-run accident Tuesday night in Detroit, Michigan.

The woman, 40, was riding a motorcycle northbound on Gratiot near Maxwell when she was cut off by a white full-sized conversion van, causing her to run into the passenger side around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Sgt. Eren Stephens Bell of the Detroit Police Department.

The motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital where she was listed in critical condition.

Police are looking for the driver of the van that had fled the accident scene south on Maxwell.
