A fatal motor vehicle accident occurred Wednesday night in West Windsor, New Jersey. Jaquan Wilson, 22, of North Brunswick, was driving his 1997 Chevy Camaro on Village Road West when his car flew from the road, where it overturned and hit a utility pole around 7 p.m.

Wilson was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from his car. When rescue crews and police responded to the scene Wilson was found trapped underneath his car where he was pronounced dead.

Both the weather and the road were reported to be clear at the time of the accident, and police do not know what may have caused the car to drift off the road and overturn. It is not known whether drugs or alcohol were involved. The accident is under investigation by the West Windsor Police and Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.

Village Road West was closed for approximately three hours last night because of the fatal accident.
