New York Contractor Killed when Boat Capsizes
A New York General Electric contractor was killed Thursday when his boat overturned causing him to drown.
Jeffrey Harbison, along with five other workers, was working on a project on the Hudson River. The boat Harbison and another worker, Thomas Kutys, were on capsized before going over a dam.
Medical crews rushed Harbison to a local hospital after being in 38 degree water for 30 minutes. The contractor was later pronounced dead due to cold water drowning.
Kutys survived and was later released from the hospital.
Police are conducting an investigation into the incident. Fire rescue officials believe the boat was possibly experiencing some mechanical problems
