NJ Officer Killed by Oncoming Traffic
A New Jersey officer was killed Saturday after being hit by car while running across traffic in an attempt to help a fellow officer.
Christopher Milito, an officer for the Delaware River Port Authority, was standing on the Walt Whitman Bridge in Gloucester City when he attempted to get to the other side to help another officer.
Milito was seriously injured after being hit by oncoming traffic. Officers rushed him to a local hospital for treatment where he was later pronounced dead.
As of now, the unidentified driver has not been charged. Authorities are conducting a full investigation into the fatal accident.
