Oklahoma Man Dies in One-Vehicle Accident

An Ada, Oklahoma man suffered fatal injuries in a one-vehicle accident in Pontotoc County Tuesday morning.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Robert E. Horton, 41, of Ada, was driving his pickup truck southbound on a country road when he lost control of the vehicle and drove off the road, hitting a guardrail. The impact caused the truck to rollover and come to a rest on its roof in a creek.

The truck was partially submerged underwater, trapping Horton inside.

Horton, who wasn’t wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The accident occurred sometime between 4 a.m. and 11 a.m. Tuesday.
