Oklahoma Wide Receiver Seriously Injured in Roll-Over Accident
Oklahoma wide receiver Corey Wilson was critically injured in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 35 in Oklahoma Friday afternoon.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the 20-year-old football player from Carrollton, Texas was airlifted to OU Medical Center in critical condition with head and internal injuries suffered in the accident, which occurred at approximately 1 p.m. Friday near Pauls Valley. A hospital spokesman says Wilson’s family asked that his condition remain confidential.
Wilson was traveling southbound on I-35 in a Chevrolet Trailblazer when he collided with a pickup, causing him to drive off the road and roll over twice. Wilson, who was not wearing his seat belt, was thrown about 45 feet from the vehicle, said the OHP.
