One Killed, Two Injured in Highway 544 Crash

One person was killed and two others, including a Horry County police officer, were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Conway Thursday afternoon.

The police officer was driving westbound on Highway 544 when the collision occurred with an eastbound vehicle about to make a left turn onto Singleton Ridge Road around 2 p.m. Thursday.

Timmy Fulmer, a correctional officer at a state prison facility in Tabor City, North Carolina, was a passenger in the second vehicle and was killed in the accident.

The driver and the officer are at Conway Hospital listed in serious but stable condition.
