One Man, 22, and one Woman, 82, Killed in Minneapolis Accidents
Two accidents Saturday leave a 22-year-old man and an 82-year-old woman dead.
Richard Jaros was driving at about 2:00 a.m. when he lost control and crashed into a tree.
Medical crews rushed him to a hospital for treatment, but he was unable to survive his injuries. He was pronounced as dead eight hours later due to blunt-force trauma.
Police are continuing to investigate and tests are being conducted to determine if alcohol was involved.
Later that day, 82-year-old Elvina Allen was leaving a park when she pulled out in front of a truck causing the collision.
Allen was unable to survive the deadly crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup, 31-year-old Graciela Gutierrez, was uninjured but one of her seven passengers had to be taken to a hospital for treatment non life-threatening injuries.
The investigation into the fatal accident is ongoing.
