One Man Killed in Three-Vehicle Accident in Indianapolis
One man was killed when he was involved in a three-vehicle accident on the northeast side of Indianapolis Monday afternoon.
Howard Ingram, 49, was traveling eastbound on East 42nd Street near Emerson Avenue when he collided into the back of a GMC truck driven by Larry Shute, 29. Shute lost control of his vehicle and crossed into the westbound lane, flipping over a Dodge Neon driven Thomas Parks, 20. Parks lost control and ran into a utility pole head-on.
Parks was taken to Wishard Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Ingram and Shute were transported to Methodist Hospital in stable condition. Ingram was issued a summons for driving with a suspended liscense.
The accident is under investigation. Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the accident, said police.
