One Person Killed, 27 Injured in Bus Accident
One person was killed and 27 others suffered injuries in a bus accident on Interstate 80 west of Reno, Saturday morning.
The accident happened in Floriston, California, which is about 20 miles west of Reno, said California Highway Patrol.
Kevin Romero, a spokesman for REMSA, the Reno area’s ambulance service, said that 27 people were transported to hospitals in Reno and Truckee after the 8:30 a.m. accident in the westbound lanes of Interstate 80 and involved a bus.
Five of victims suffered critical injuries. One fatality has been confirmed so far by a CHP dispatcher.
