One Person Killed in North Austin Crash

One person was killed in a one-vehicle accident on MoPac Expressway in North Austin, Texas.

A vehicle was traveling northbound on MoPac Expressway when the driver lost control of the vehicle and ran into one of the supporting columns for the Duval Road overpass, coming to a stop on the embankment, according to investigators.

The driver and sole occupants of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the accident scene. It is unknown if speed or alcohol were contributing factors in the collision, which is under investigation.
