One Person Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident

One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident involving a truck pulling 16 horses on Interstate 35 in Kansas.

A vehicle collided with a pickup truck on Interstate 35 at 175th Street. One occupant of the vehicle was killed in the accident.

The pickup truck was pulling a horse trailer carrying 16 horses that are now on the loose near the site. A horse expert with Overland Park police is helping round them up.

Interstate 35 is expected to be closed from 151st Street to 175th Street for several hours as Gardner police and the Kansas Highway Patrol are working the accident.
