Person Seriously Injured in Car Crash
Two people were trapped inside their vehicle and another suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 17 in California.
A vehicle was traveling southbound on Highway 17 when the driver lost control and crossed the center line, striking a northbound vehicle around 9:10 a.m. near Laurel Road, about halfway between Santa Cruz and the Summit.
The impact caused the vehicles to spin apart and come to a rest in both the northbound and southbound lanes, closing the highway for over an hour.
Two people were trapped inside their vehicles. One person was airlifted to Stanford Medical Center with major injuries.
