Retired KY State Trooper Killed in Explosion

A retired Kentucky state police trooper was killed Tuesday and two others seriously injured in a home explosion.

According to authorities, the 80-year-old retired trooper Shannon Corman was a federally licensed firearms dealer. While mixing a big amount of black powder in the garage behind his home an explosion occured.

Police found what is believed to be Corman’s body inside the garage. His wife Louise Corman, 75, and James Greenwood, 57, were seriously injured and airlifted to a hospital for treatment.

Louise Corman is currently listed to be in serious condition. James Greenwood is suffering burns to 90 percent of his body.
