Semi-Truck Crash Seriously Injures One

One person was trapped inside their vehicle after a collision involving a semi-truck near Middlebury, Indiana Wednesday morning.

The semi-truck was traveling on Indiana 13 when it collided with a second vehicle, possibly a van, around 8:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 53000 block near the intersection with County Road 120, said Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department dispatch.

One occupant of the second vehicle suffered serious injuries and was airlifted from the scene.

The driver of the semi did not suffer any serious injuries.
