Several Students Injured in School Bus Crash

Several students were injured in a school bus accident in Orion, Illinois Wednesday afternoon.

The school bus, carrying about 30 to 40 Quad City students, was hit by a truck between 3 and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at 117th and 162 Avenue.

Several students were thrown from their seats in the accident. Several minor injuries were reported, including on student who was bleeding from the back of her head, said witnesses.

Witnesses said the truck did not see the bus when he ran into it.

Counselors from the schools called parents to notify them of the crash.
