Students In Hospital After School Bus Accident

Two students were taken to an area hospital as a precaution after a school bus accident in Ooltewah, Hamilton County Tuesday afternoon.

A truck traveling on Ooltewah-Ringgold Road attempted to pass the school bus but drove too close and skimmed the side mirror. The accident occurred between Standifer Gap and Pine Ridge Road. According to occupants, several students sitting in the back of the bus were sprayed with glass from the shattered mirror.

Two students were transported by ambulance to an area hospital as a precaution when officials were unable to reach their parents.
