Joseph Laplume of Belvidere was identified by the police after the accident that occurred around 10 p.m. in Boone County

The authorities have not released exact details of the crash, but the only car involved was Laplumes. The driver was unable to survive the head injuries he sustained.

The fatal accident is still under investigation by the police.

Billie K. Johnson, 56, of Otis Orchards, was traveling westbound on Trent Avenue in a 1998 Ford Mustang when she lost control of the vehicle and drove into a ditch at Harvard Road at 7:50 p.m. Sunday.

The vehicle rolled over. It is unknown if Johnson was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Johnson was killed in the crash.

The accident is under investigation.

According to the preliminary investigation, the victims were in a car traveling eastbound on Rock Creek when the driver lost control and drove off the road and hit a tree east of 24th Avenue NE around 12:20 a.m. Sunday.

Stephanie Masten, 17, and Stephen Tyler, 19, were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Gaylon Phillips, 21, was taken to Norman Regional Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Shelby Shea, 18, was also taken to Norman Regional Hospital and listed in serious condition.

The accident is under investigation.

William Howard Lee, 52, of Maiden, North Carolina, was driving northbound on Greenbrier Street when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a utility pole near the GoMart, and entrance to Coonskin Park around 11:00 p.m. Thursday. His vehicle rolled over and came to a rest in a nearby creek.

Police said speed may have been a contributing factor in the collision.

Ashley Nicole Bryant, 22, of Locust Grove, was driving her 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier eastbound on Route 604 when her vehicle veered off the right side of the roadway just west of Route 621 around 7:30 p.m. Monday. Bryant overcorrected, sending the vehicle into a ditch and overturning.

Bryant, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was killed in the accident.

The accident is under investigation.

Cassandra Morgan, 17, of Osage City was driving a grain truck loaded with soybeans when she lost control of the vehicle and struck a guardrail at 333rd street and Hoch road in southwest Osage County.

Morgan was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Osage County sheriff’s office is investigating the accident.

Darlene Prevatt, 53, of Graceville, Florida, was driving a sports utility vehicle on Highway 109 when she lost control of the vehicle and it ran off the road where it overturned and struck a tree between Rehobeth and Southern Junction.

Prevatt was ejected from the vehicle and killed in the crash.

The accident is under investigation.

Sandra Grein Buck, 67, was traveling in a Plymouth Neon eastbound in the 2300 block of Perkins Road when she lost control of the vehicle and ran off the south side of the roadway just east of the Urbana Township around 2:40 p.m. Her vehicle struck a culvert, causing it to roll on its driver side.

Buck was extricated by Edge-Scott and Carroll firefighters and then transported to Carle Hospital where she was treated and released.

The 50-year-old woman of Altaville was driving her 1994 Buick southbound on Highway 94 when she railed to negotiate a curve and drove off the right side of the roadway near River Ranch Rd and overcorrected traveling back across all lanes around 2:05 p.m. Thursday. The vehicle drove up an embankment and then overturned several times, coming to a rest on its roof.

The woman was taken to Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital and then airlifted to Mercy San Juan Medical Center in Carmichael.

The woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Chris C. Lewis, 30, of Linsay, was driving a sports utility vehicle northbound on a county road when he failed to negotiate a curve and ran the vehicle off the roadway and hit a tree around 4 p.m. Monday.

Lewis was partially ejected from the vehicle, which overturned on top of him. Lewis was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

It is believed that alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.
