Jami Herring was driving down an Oklahoma highway when she hit the center median causing her car to breakdown in the middle of the road.

While attempting to get out of her 06’ Chevrolet Cobalt a truck crashed into the passenger side of her car.

Herring was unable to survive the fatal crash and medical crews pronounced her dead at the scene.

An 18-year-old passenger in Herring’s car, Donta Carter, was able to get out of the car in time and was uninjured.

The truck’s driver, 60-year-old Robert Brehm, and his passenger were not injured as well.

Police are continuing to investigate the accident.

Stephanie R. Warner, 19, of Buckhannon, was driving her Ford Escort in Greene County, just north of Morgantown, when she lost control and crossed the center line, colliding head-on with a tractor trailer.

Warner, who was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident, was pronounced dead.

The accident is under investigation.

A 17-year-old boy from Yankton was driving one of the vehicles westbound on Highway 50 when the accident occurred. He was killed in the accident. A 17-year-old girl in his vehicle and a 16-year-old girl driving the second vehicle, both from Yankton, were transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The victim’s identities have not been released.

Brittany Fetter, 16, was driving a 1979 Chevrolet Monte Carlo when she was rear-ended by a Chevrolet Silverado Pickup around 10:30 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of State Route 60 and Darrow Road.

Fetter’s vehicle was forced into the intersection where it was hit by a 2005 Honda Civic driven by Harrison Strickler, 19.

A passenger in the Monte Carlo, David Ryan Kelm, 17, was killed in the collision.

The accident is under investigation.

Two vehicles were speeding northbound on when the teenage driver of a red Acura lost control and struck a tree and a rock before coming to a rest in a parking lot on Crooked Hill Road.

Two teenagers were occupying the Acura, one of which was ejected and the other was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle which may have been racing the Acura continued to drive away from the scene.

A 17-year-old male was driving a 2000 Hyundai Tiberon on Route 255 in Jay Township when he lost control and hit a tree off the roadway. The vehicle then overturned, hit a utility pole, became airborne and struck the roadway and a guiderail. The teen was ejected from the vehicle before it burst into flames.

The teen, whose name has not been released pending family notification, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 18-year-old man from New Windsor was traveling westbound on West Street when he clipped a wooden trailer that was parked along the street around 10:35 in the area of 161 West Street.

The collision caused the motorcycle to drive into the northbound lane of traffic when it was struck by a northbound white van. The van drove away from the scene of the accident without stopping, said police.

The motorcycle driver was killed in the crash.

Newburgh city police are searching for the van, which may have damage to the front.

Kara Taylor, 16, of Little Elm, was traveling northbound in a Mercury Mountaineer SUV with her 15-year-old female friend when they were struck near the main street exit by a southbound vehicle driven by Mariza Martinez, 24, of Dallas at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

Taylor was transported to Centennial Medical Center in Frisco, where she was pronounced dead. Her friend was also taken to the hospital suffering minor injuries.

Martinez was transported to Medical Center of Plano with unknown injuries.

The accident is under investigation.

Tanner D. Twitchell, 17, of Oak Grove, was a passenger in a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt traveling westbound on Interstate 70 when the driver, a 16-year-old female, lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle crossed the median and was struck by an eastbound 2002 Kia causing both vehicles to leave the roadway around 2 p.m. Monday, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Twitchell was killed in the accident. Both drivers were transported to Centerpoint Medical Hospital suffering from minor to moderate injuries.

The accident is being investigated by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Tommy Jason Bergeron, 19, of Moss Bluff, was driving his truck eastbound on Theriot Road when he apparently lost control of the vehicle and it drove off the roadway, according to Calcasieu Parish sheriff deputies. The truck overturned multiple times, struck a fire hydrant and a utility pole, and then came to a stop on its roof in the front yard of someone’s house.

Bergeron was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be removed by emergency responders. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead just a few hours after the accident.

The accident is under investigation.
