The victim was driving southbound on 26^th Street when they ran a red light at the intersection of Austin Avenue and 26^th Street and was hit by a vehicle.

Waco firefighters had to extricate the victim from the vehicle by using the Jaws of Life.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with possible arm injuries.

Shanen M. Osterman, 42, of Cave Springs was driving a 1994 Honda Accord eastbound on Arkansas 264 when she crossed the median and hit a westbound 2005 F350 driven by Misiel Rodriguez, 27, near Clayton Street, according to Arkansas State Police.

Osterman was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

Rodriguez did not suffer any injuries. His passengers, Jesus Quiros, 29, and Metido Rodriguez, 41, suffered minor injuries but declined treatment.

The accident is under investigation.

Patricia Anderson, 47, of St. James, was traveling in a 2006 Chevrolet SUV southbound on Highway 169 when she was involved in a collision with a 1991 Toyota Previa driven by Erica Gersch, 27, of North Mankato, that was coming off the Highway 14 eastbound ramp onto 169.

Gersch’s vehicle held three occupants and Anderson’s held seven. Five suffered minor injuries.

The accident scene was cleared by the State Patrol, Mankato and North Mankato police and fire personnel.

Scott Dickey, 50, of Indianapolis, was traveling eastbound on SR 46 in a 2004 Kenworth Tractor with an empty trailer when he collided with a 2007 Jeep Wrangler traveling westbound at about 5:53 a.m. According to Dickey, the Wrangler crossed the median and drove into the eastbound lane.

The driver of the Wrangler, Calvin Knox, 20, of Bloomington, who was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Dickey sustained minor injuries and did not require treatment.

A black Ford Ranger was driving northbound on Pearson Road when it collided with a white Ford Expedition that had driven into its path just before 9 a.m. Thursday. The impact of the collision caused the Expedition to overturn and land in a ditch off the roadway.

The female driver of the Expedition was taken to a local hospital. The extent of her injuries has not been released.

Two female infants traveling in the Expedition were “perfectly fine” due to the proper use of child seats, according to Pearl Police Lt. Tim Sarrett.

The driver of the Ford Ranger was uninjured.

The vehicle was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 in Willoughby Tuesday afternoon at about 2:30 p.m. Two vehicles traveling eastbound on Interstate 80 swerved in an attempt to avoid a collision with the oncoming vehicle but struck each other instead.
The drivers did not suffer any serious injuries.

The vehicle that was traveling the wrong direction fled the scene. Police are searching for the driver, described as a white male in a gold colored 4-door car.

The accident is under investigation.

The impact of the two-vehicle collision pushed one car off the roadway onto the sidewalk, shearing off its front tires and driver’s side door. The four people occupying that vehicle were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

The second car involved in the collision came to a rest several hundred feet down the road and caught fire when it collided with a gas station sign. Police believe that there had been four occupants in that vehicle, but they fled the scene by the time police had arrived.

The accident occurred at about 2:20 a.m. Friday. The accident is being investigated by Rochester Police. It is believed that excessive speed was a factor in the accident.

Karen Naclerio-Negrin, 43, of Smithtown, was traveling southbound on Route 25A in Smithtown in her 1992 Volvo when a 2003 Chevrolet pickup truck traveling northbound collided into her near Summerset Drive at 3:30 a.m.

Naclerio-Negrin was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck, John Harnage, 43, of Smithtown, was arrested at the accident scene and charged with driving while intoxicated. Harnage did not suffer any injuries.

The road was shut down for about six hours between Summerset Drive and Route 25 and reopened at about 9:15 a.m.

Three people were hospitalized after suffering non-life threatening injuries in a two-vehicle accident in Bear Wednesday morning.

The accident was investigated by New Castle County Police.

The accident occurred on Wednesday at 10:55 a.m. County Police and paramedics responded to a call regarding an overturned cement truck at the 500 block of Walther Road. On arrival, the officials found the cement truck resting on its side, blocking the only two lanes on the roadway.

Apparently, a sports utility vehicle was involved in a collision with the cement truck on the right side of the road. The SUV sustained damages.

Three people were hospitalized following the accident. None of their injuries appear life threatening.

The first accident occurred just before 8 p.m. Tuesday when a vehicle drove off Hugh Heron Road and ran into a tree. One person in the vehicle was killed in the accident. Just minutes later, a two-vehicle collision at a busy intersection, also in Clinton County, killed one person.

New York State Police are investigating the two accidents. The identities of the victims have not yet been released. Further information regarding the accident has not been released.
