A teenager that allegedly stole a U.S. Army van last year, resulting in the deaths of two women, died Sunday from injuries he suffered in another crash after stealing a second vehicle Friday.

Gary Williams, 17, suffered injuries when he drove through a stolen vehicle through a red light at the intersection of Warren and Scotten and collided with a Lincoln on Friday, according to police.

Williams was transported to Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit where he was pronounced dead on Sunday.

Williams had been charged Saturday with second-degree murder for his involvement in the deaths of Unique Neely, 19, and LaVette Lee, 20, both of Detroit, said Maria Miller, spokesman for the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.
