Teen Killed in One-Vehicle Crash

A teenager was killed in a one-vehicle accident early Thursday morning on Route 255 in Elk County, Pennsylvania.

A 17-year-old male was driving a 2000 Hyundai Tiberon on Route 255 in Jay Township when he lost control and hit a tree off the roadway. The vehicle then overturned, hit a utility pole, became airborne and struck the roadway and a guiderail. The teen was ejected from the vehicle before it burst into flames.

The teen, whose name has not been released pending family notification, was pronounced dead at the scene.
