Teenage Girl Killed By Wrong Way Driver
A teenage girl was killed by a driver heading the wrong way on the Dallas North Tollway in Frisco early Sunday morning.
Kara Taylor, 16, of Little Elm, was traveling northbound in a Mercury Mountaineer SUV with her 15-year-old female friend when they were struck near the main street exit by a southbound vehicle driven by Mariza Martinez, 24, of Dallas at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
Taylor was transported to Centennial Medical Center in Frisco, where she was pronounced dead. Her friend was also taken to the hospital suffering minor injuries.
Martinez was transported to Medical Center of Plano with unknown injuries.
The accident is under investigation.
