Teenager Killed in One-Vehicle Accident in Arlington
A male teenager was killed in a one-vehicle accident in Arlington, Texas early Saturday.
Phillip S. Lara, 19, of Rockwell, was traveling southbound on Collins Street when he lost control of his vehicle as he negotiated a bend in the road around 3 a.m. Saturday. Lara’s vehicle struck a tree, overturned, and then struck a second tree catching fire. Lara was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Police believe that Lara was killed on impact.
The accident is under investigation.
