Teenager Killed in Rollover Accident
A woman suffered fatal injuries in a one-vehicle accident early Tuesday morning on Highway 60 in Newton County, Missouri.
Jessica R. Phillips, 19, of Neosho, was traveling westbound on Highway 60 when she lost control of her vehicle and ran it off the road five miles west of Neosho. The vehicle overturned, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Phillips was transported by medical helicopter to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin where she was pronounced dead at 2:12 a.m. Tuesday.
It is unknown what caused Phillips to run off the road. The accident is under investigation.
