Three People Killed in One-Vehicle Accident

Three people were killed and another was seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident early Sunday morning.

According to the preliminary investigation, the victims were in a car traveling eastbound on Rock Creek when the driver lost control and drove off the road and hit a tree east of 24th Avenue NE around 12:20 a.m. Sunday.

Stephanie Masten, 17, and Stephen Tyler, 19, were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Gaylon Phillips, 21, was taken to Norman Regional Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Shelby Shea, 18, was also taken to Norman Regional Hospital and listed in serious condition.

The accident is under investigation.
