Three Women Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident
Three women suffered injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 34 Wednesday night.
Brenda Olson, 42, of Park Rapids, was driving a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix east in the westbound lane of traffic on Highway 34 when she collided head on with a 2000 Plymouth Voyager van driven by Betty Dunker, 60, of Park Rapids on the east edge of Akeley around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Olson, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, was transported to St. Mary’s Regional Health Center in Detroit Lakes suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
Dunker, who was wearing her seat belt, was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis suffering from a fractured ankles and an injured knee.
A passenger in the Voyager, Lori Eischens, 28, of Park Rapids suffered a broken arm in the accident. She was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Park Rapids where she was treated and released.
