Truck-Car Collision Causes Injuries

A woman was injured and transported the hospital following a collision with a semi-truck early Tuesday on Highway 53 in Wisconsin.

The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department says the accident occurred Tuesday at 7:50 am on Highway 53, just north of County Road AA.

A semi-truck driven by a 53-year-old man, of Holmenm was traveling northbound on Highway 53 when the vehicle driven by the 49-year-old woman, of La Crosse, crossed his path on the roadway. The semi-truck struck the vehicle, which sent it to the northbound side of the highway. The semi-truck stopped in the southbound ditch.

The woman was transported to a La Crosse hospital with unknown injuries. The semi driver was not injured in the collision. The names of the two drivers have not been released.
