Two Detroit Police Officers Seriously Injured in Accident

Two Detroit Police Officers suffered serious injuries when they were involved in an accident along Grand River Avenue, in Detroit, Michigan.

The two officers were traveling eastbound on Grand River when they began to make a U-turn onto the westbound lane. A van struck the officers vehicle.

The officers were transported to Sinai-Grace hospital where they are listed in serious condition.

The driver of the van and two passengers refused medical attention but were transported to the hospital as a precaution, according to the Detroit Police Department’s Office of Public Information.

Two Detroit Police Officers are listed serious condition in the hospital after being their patrol car was struck by a van along Grand River Avenue.

The accident temporarily closed off Grand River Avenue between Greenfield Road and Southfield Road.
