Two Injured in One-Vehicle Accident Involving Boat
Two Grand Forks residents suffered injuries when the boat their van was towing broke loose and entered the rear of their vehicle Monday.
Rodney Clark, 84, of Grand Forks, was driving the van on the southbound exit ramp off Interstate 29 approaching 32nd Avenue South when he failed to stop at a red light around 3:40 p.m. Monday. The van swerved to avoid oncoming traffic and collided with a pole, causing the boat to break loose and enter the rear of the van.
Clark and passenger, Carol Clark, 82, also of Grand Fords, were transported to Altru Hospital with injuries. As of Tuesday afternoon they are listed in satisfactory condition.
