Two Men Injured in Electrical Accident

Two men were hurt when a ladder fell on a power line where they were working, electrocuting one and injuring another at a house in Boulder, Colorado Tuesday morning.

The two men were painting the exterior of a house in the 1100 block of University Avenue in Boulder when the accident occurred around 9:45 a.m., said Boulder police.

A 22-year-old man was holding an aluminum extension ladder and received a jolt of electric current when the ladder fell onto the 650-volt power line. A 25-year-old man was struck by the falling ladder.

Both men were transported to Boulder Community Hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

The accident is under investigation.
