Two men were killed in a three-vehicle traffic accident early Friday morning west of Cushing, Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol identified victims Orlando Torres, 24, of Cushing and Michel Paul Geren, 30, of Agra. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene, suffering from massive injuries.

A third victim in the accident, identified as a 60-year-old woman from Glencoe, and school bus driver for Meridian Technology Center in Stillwater, was taken by ambulance to Cushing Regional Hospital, and her condition has not yet been released.

Torres was driving a 1999 GMC Pickup truck eastbound on Highway 33 when he attempted to pass the school bus and another vehicle behind it. In the attempt he struck head on a 1993 Ford Pickup driven by Geren and then struck the school bus in the drivers’ side door.

The report says that freeing the fatality victims from the wreckage took over two hours for Cushing Fire and Rescue personnel. The accident happened at 7:10 Friday morning 4/10 of a mile west of the Highway 33/18 junction.
