Two People Injured in Accident Involving 18-Wheeler

Two people were injured Tuesday morning after an accident involving a car and an 18-wheeler on Interstate 35 in Elm Mott, Texas.

At approximately 10:30 a.m. Monday a vehicle traveling southbound on Interstate 35 in Elm Mott, north of Waco, lost control of their vehicle and hit a guardrail, causing the vehicle to flip, according to authorities. The vehicle was then hit by an 18-wheeler that was traveling behind it.

It is known that at least one of the people injured in the accident was transported to an area hospital. Other details and information regarding the collision is not immediately available.

The accident was backing up southbound traffic late Tuesday morning, along with another accident in the area of the South 5th Street exit in Waco Tuesday morning.
