Two People Killed in California Eight-Vehicle Accident
Two people were killed in an eight-vehicle accident and closed multiple lanes of the 210 Freeway Friday morning in Irwindale, California.
A Foothill Transit bus, which was carrying no passengers, was involved in a collision with a vehicle on the 210 Freeway. The initial crash caused a chain reaction involving eight different vehicles, including two trucks that spilled debris onto the roadway. According to fire officials, four people suffered injuries and one was critically injured in the accident. A medevac chopper landed on the freeway to attend to the injured. Two people were killed in the accident.
Traffic was halted throughout the San Gabriel Valley and on Foothill Boulevard. The eastbound 210 was closed for several hours before it was reopened around 3:10 p.m., said the CHP.
