Two People Killed in Head-On Collision

Two people were killed in a head-on collision Sunday morning on Route 60 in Chautauqua County.

Jason Piazza, of Jamestown, was traveling back to Jamestown with his girlfriend, Darby Martin, when his 1990 Dodge truck drove across the center line and colliding head-on into Marvin Chandler’s truck that was traveling in the northbound lane. The accident occurred around 7 a.m. Sunday in the town of Gerry.

Martin and Piazza were killed in the accident. Both Chandler and his passenger Douglas Johnson were transported to the hospital suffering from non-life threatening injuries.

The accident is under investigation by Chautauqua County deputies and the cause has not yet been determined.
