Two Police Officers Injured in Separate Accidents
Two on-duty police officers were injured in two separate car accidents over the weekend in Yuma, Arizona.
On Saturday, a collision occurred between a minivan and an unmarked car driven by a Yuma Police Detective around 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Araby Road and 24th Street.
Both the detective and driver of the minivan were transported to YRMC suffering non-life threatening injuries.
On Friday, an officer responding to a call west of 24th Street collided with a Ford F-150 in an intersection at about 4:30 p.m.
The officer did have his emergency lights and sirens activated.
The officer and the driver of the Ford were transported to YRMC suffering non-life threatening injuries.
