Two Woman Injured When Car Overturns Multiple Times

Two people were injured in a Saturday morning one-vehicle accident on U.S. 61, north of Bowling Green, Missouri.

Katilyn M. Fretwell, 19, of Canton was driving southbound on U.S. 61 South in a 2006 Kia Sorento, less than a mile south of the Gailey Bridge, when she drove off the right side of the roadway, overturning several times. Both Fretwell and her passenger, Ashley N. Trout, 20, of Cameron, Illinois, were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident and were transported by Pike County Ambulance to Pike County Hospital in Louisiana for treatment.

The accident occurred at approximately 9:13 a.m. Saturday. The incident is under investigation.
