Utah Parole Officer Killed in Accident
A Utah Adult Probation and Parole officer was killed in a car accident Tuesday afternoon in Ogden.
Rodney L. George, 62, of Eden, was driving a 2007 Toyota Camry eastbound on 24th Street when he lost control of the vehicle and veered of the 1100 block of the roadway, striking a parked car around 4:20 p.m. George’s vehicle overturned and came to a rest on its side.
George, a retired Riverdale police officer, was found unconscious and transported to McKay-Dee Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
George suffered from emphysema, and was on oxygen at the time of the accident, Conley said. An autopsy will be performed to determine if he was killed by the crash or the medical condition.
